Matter is regarded as being constituted by a region of space in which the field is very
intense . . . . . . . . . .
There is no place in this new kind of Physics both for the field and matter, for the field is the only reality. - Albert Einstein.
A human being is a part of a whole, called by us _universe_, a part limited in time and space. He experiences himself, his thoughts and feelings as something separated from the rest... a kind of optical delusion of his consciousness. This delusion is a kind of prison for us, restricting us to our personal desires and to affection for a few persons nearest to us. Our task must be to free ourselves from this prison by widening our circle of compassion to embrace all living creatures and the whole of nature in its beauty. - Albert Einstein.
"The Universe is not a collection of objects, but is an inseparable
web of vibrating energy patterns in which no one component has reality independently from
the entirety. Included in the entirety is the observer.
(Bell's theorem on the indivisibility of the Universe.) " - Paul Davies

The original purpose of this web site was to facilitate my further research into Qigong. It was/is my electronic notebook. This web site represents my point of view on the subject, which is undoubtedly biased and narrow. However, it might be a good entry point for beginners and a nice reference tool for experienced practitioners. Use it at your own risk.
You can find a part of mainstream science research here. Also, you may want to take a look at the books that I read in the process of evaluating and learning about the system. The online material that I perused can be found here.

Not everything I know ends up on this web page. There are several criteria:
1) I must obtain permission to post the information. Some teachers/authors object to indiscriminate dissemination of material to unqualified students and I respect their point of view.
2) Articles must pertain to any form of energy arts such as Yoga/Qigong/Reiki, etc. Since I consider all energy arts to have the same root, non-Qigong forms of energy cultivation are not excluded.
3) Information must be relevant and helpful for beginning or experienced students/researchers.
